Lawn after care
Once your lawn has been laid you should water it every night for 2-3 weeks. Do not walk on it while you are watering as it will become boggy. Continue to water even if it rains.
After 3 weeks you should give lawn its first cut on a high setting just taking 20mm off the top of grass. Stop watering 3 days prior to cut to give the ground a chance to firm up.
You should continue to water the lawn 2-3 times a week.
Lawn should be cut on a weekly basis. Do not let it grow too long as this will restrict sun light getting to the roots causing grass to grow stringy.
Do not put any treatment on your new lawn for the first 3 months. After 3 months treatment can be put on your lawn at the correct time. Weed and feed, moss killer ect will help keep your lawn healthy.
Patio and paving after care
To help your patio/paving stay looking new you will need to jet wash it 2-3 times a year. A spring jet wash will help clear the dirt from winter months which is when your patio will be at its worst.
When jet washing do not hold water jet directly on the pointing as this will cause damage.
A mould or moss killer may be added in the cleaning process.
On natural paving which are porous jet wash before dirt has time to settle as it can be absorbed by the paving making it harder to clean.
Driveway after care
It is important to keep block paving filled with kiln dried sand to stop movement.
Jet wash ever spring time and re-sand to stop moss growing between the gaps.
Sweep on a weekly basis to help stop weed growth.
Keep aco drains free from leaves to stop blockages.
